Camp Lone Star

"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."
so yeah, whoever thought of this totally obvious idea is a complete genius and should be kissed on the cheek. =D
oh and by the way, this is Chelsey (JSed first session last year, Blue Bolt), and I looooooooove camp, like the rest of my camp homefries.
I decided to open up with a passage for the rest of you. Hebrews 4:14-16 is just about my favorite passage ever, because it reminds me that Jesus has gone through every pain, trouble, worry, guilt, embarrassment, and pretty much sin, that I have ever experienced and will ever experience in the future...multiplied the world over.
and yet...He still loves me.
isn't that amazing? I mean, really, if any of you knew me the way Jesus knows me, you would think I was the most horrible person ever. and it's the same with all of us - Jesus knows us very innermost secrets and He loves us more than ANYTHING because He gave up everything He had. think of it this way: Jesus would rather die than spend the rest of eternity without you.
that, my friends, is the ultimate love. there isn't anything beyond.
I pray that all of you realize your Father in heaven loves you with all He has, and that He gives you peace and patience in whatever trial you may be suffering.
and as christians apart by distance, we can now join in prayer together here online! the greatest. =D
